This Policy forms part of the Lived-In Resident Terms of Service.
1. Fixed Compensation#
A Resident earns gross compensation of $20.00 for each Completed Call under the current Policy.
Compensation is fixed and does not depend on:
- Whether the Resident gives positive or negative answers;
- Whether the Resident recommends the Property;
- Whether the Prospect applies;
- Whether the Prospect signs a lease; or
- Whether the Prospect moves in.
2. Completed Call Requirements#
A Call generally qualifies as completed when the Resident:
-
Personally joins at the scheduled time or within five minutes;
-
Remains eligible and currently resides at the Property;
-
Participates honestly and in good faith;
-
Gives the Prospect a meaningful opportunity to ask questions;
-
Participates for approximately twenty minutes, unless the Call properly ends earlier under the Terms; and
-
Materially complies with the Terms and incorporated Guidelines.
Optional feedback is not required.
3. Payment Timing#
Lived-In will use reasonable efforts to initiate payment on the same business day as the Call.
Payment will be initiated no later than three business days after Lived-In confirms that the Call qualifies as completed.
“Business day” means Monday through Friday, excluding United States federal holidays and days when the applicable payment provider is not processing ordinary business payments.
4. Payment Methods#
Lived-In may offer payment through:
- Zelle;
- Venmo;
- PayPal;
- Stripe Connect;
- ACH transfer; or
- Another disclosed provider.
Not every method will necessarily be available to every Resident or Call.
The Resident must provide accurate payment information and satisfy the provider’s eligibility and verification requirements.
5. Processing Fees#
The Resident earns gross compensation of $20.00.
The net amount received may be reduced by a transaction, transfer, or payment-processing fee charged by the third-party provider for the payment method used by the Resident.
Lived-In does not retain that third-party fee.
Lived-In may change the payment method or fee structure for future Calls after providing notice under the Terms.
6. Prospect Cancellation#
If the Prospect cancels at least four hours before the scheduled start time, the Resident receives no compensation.
If the Prospect cancels less than four hours before the scheduled start time, the Resident receives the full $20.00, provided the Resident:
- Had not already cancelled; and
- Remained reasonably available to participate.
7. Prospect No-Show#
A Prospect is treated as a no-show when the Prospect does not join within ten minutes after the scheduled start time.
To receive the full $20.00 no-show payment, the Resident must:
-
Join at the scheduled time or within five minutes;
-
Remain available until at least ten minutes after the scheduled start time; and
-
Follow reasonable check-in instructions.
A Prospect’s refusal to provide the required monitoring or transcription consent after the Resident timely joins will be treated as a late cancellation or no-show.
8. Lived-In Cancellation#
If Lived-In cancels at least four hours before the Call, the Resident receives no compensation.
If Lived-In cancels less than four hours before the Call, the Resident receives the full $20.00, provided the Resident had not already cancelled and remained reasonably available.
9. Resident Cancellation#
A Resident should provide at least twelve hours’ notice when reasonably possible.
A Resident receives no compensation for a Call the Resident cancels or misses.
Lived-In will consider genuine emergencies and circumstances outside the Resident’s reasonable control in good faith.
Repeated late cancellations or missed Calls may result in suspension or termination.
10. Rescheduling#
A rescheduled Call is treated as a new invitation unless Lived-In clearly states otherwise.
Compensation is not earned twice for the same reserved time unless the cancellation or no-show rules independently require payment for the original Call.
11. Technical Problems#
The Resident should promptly tell Lived-In about a technical problem.
If the Resident timely joins or attempts to join but the Call cannot proceed because of a Lived-In-controlled technical issue, Lived-In will treat the Call under the same rules as a late Lived-In cancellation.
If the Call cannot proceed because of the Resident’s equipment, connection, or failure to follow access instructions, compensation may be denied unless Lived-In determines otherwise in good faith.
If a third-party provider outage prevents the Call, Lived-In will evaluate the circumstances in good faith and may reschedule the Call.
12. Payment Disputes#
A Resident should report a payment concern to andres@livedinit.com and include:
- The Call date;
- The Property;
- The scheduled time;
- The payment method; and
- A description of the issue.
Lived-In may request information reasonably needed to investigate.
13. Invalid or Recoverable Payments#
Lived-In may deny or recover compensation when it reasonably determines that the Resident:
- Committed fraud;
- Impersonated another person;
- Was not eligible;
- No longer lived at the Property;
- Materially violated the recording rules;
- Engaged in serious misconduct; or
- Failed to complete the Call.
A payment already issued must be returned within three business days after written notice explaining the reason.
To the extent permitted by law, Lived-In may offset an amount properly owed against future compensation.
14. Taxes#
Residents are responsible for determining and paying their own taxes.
Lived-In may request Form W-9 or other taxpayer information and may issue tax forms, report compensation, or apply withholding when legally required.
Residents should consult a qualified tax adviser.
15. Future Changes#
Lived-In may change this Policy for future Calls.
A change does not alter the compensation or cancellation terms of an already accepted Call unless the Resident expressly agrees.
